About the Verdict
- The calculator compares the value received against the value given.
- A Win means you receive at least 10% more value than you give.
- A Loss means you give at least 10% more value than you receive.
- Values are community references and shift with demand โ always double-check the current market for very high-value trades.
When Is a Trade Actually Worth It?
The verdict alone is not the whole story. A trade that scores Fair can still be smart if it converts items you never use into ones you will โ liquidity matters almost as much as raw value. A Heart dumpling you are keeping is worth its use value to you, not just its trade value, so trading down for a full collection set can be the better long-term move.
On the flip side, a Win verdict on paper is worth little if the item you receive is hard to move. The highest-demand items (Heart-rarity and mutated mythics) resell quickly; niche items can sit in your inventory for weeks. Use the calculator as the baseline, then apply the two extra checks: "would I actually use what I am getting?" and "can I resell it fast if I change my mind?"
Common Trading Mistakes the Calculator Catches
- Forgetting the mutation tick. A mutated Heart dumpling is worth 3.5x its base value โ missing the toggle is the single most common way players accept a losing trade. When an offer looks too good, ask whether a mutation glow is involved on either side before you check the numbers.
- Trading down for duplicates. Receiving three Commons for one Rare may look like a win by item count, but the calculator values items, not slots โ and three Commons rarely add up to one Rare's resale value.
- Ignoring demand when it matters most. The value list is a snapshot, not a live market. On the highest-value trades (Heart-rarity and mutated mythics), check current trading servers before you commit to a verdict.
Trade Calculator FAQ
What counts as a Win in Trade Squishy Dumplings?
A trade is a Win when you receive at least 10% more value than you give, based on the community value list. Because the 10% band is a reference point, high-value trades should be double-checked against current demand before accepting.
How much does a mutation add to a dumpling's value?
The community consensus is a 3.5x multiplier on base value. A mutated Heart dumpling is therefore the most valuable item type in the game. Always confirm the mutation glow in-game before trading โ mislabeled items are a common scam vector.
Should I ever accept a Loss on the calculator?
Occasionally. If the item you receive is dramatically easier to sell, or completes a collection with rewards attached, a small paper loss can still be a good deal. Use the calculator as a guardrail, not a religion.
